Bank Mandiri Estimated Infrastructure Credit Reach Rp 100 Trillion

JAKARTA - The achievement of infrastructure credits in the third quarter of 2016 has now reached Rp 96,9 trillion, it creates optimism and makes Bank Mandiri estimates that total credit channelling to the infrastructure sector could reach Rp 100 trillion this year.

The growth of infrastructure credit is quite significant this year considering Jokowi Government has many priority projects which have been planned since 2 years ago. This was described by Corporate Secretary of Bank Mandiri, Rohan Hafas, who also explained infrastructure credit is distributed to the corporate segment and KUR.

“The growth up to third quarter of this year already 53,7%. This number is higher fair because it is still early, the next growth will not be as high as this again. But in next year the volume attempted to be equal with this year, "said Rohan as reported from Sindonews.com (11/22/2016).

Up to the third quarter of 2016 total of corporation credit listed up to Rp 212,4 trillion and there is a Rp96,9 trillion of credit financing distribute to infrastructure. The credit divided into Rp 15,4 trillion for the toll road, Rp 32,1 trillion for electricity power, Rp 37,1 trillion for transportation (airport, port, and railway) and also Rp 12,4 trillion for telecommunication.

Rohan also explained, “Toll road is one of the most challenging projects because land acquisition that could make a delayed the schedule target. Next year we expect they could boost sectors like oil palm plantations because the price was getting better. In addition, we are pursuing labor-intensive sectors that are positive for development.”
