Bank Syariah Mandiri In cooperation with Jasa Marga for Infrastructure Financing
JAKARTA - PT Bank Syariah Mandiri (BSM) seeks to support the focus of infrastructure development by working together for the first time with PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. The cooperation was inaugurated through the signing of a joint financing facility agreement worth Rp 1 Trillion.
The signing of the cooperation was undertaken by BSM Wholesale Banking Director Kusman Yandi and Jasa Marga's Finance Director Donny Arsal. This financing partnership uses a Line Facility-Musyarakah (profit-sharing/syirkah) deal with a one-year tenor, in which the disbursement can be done at once or in stages. The purpose of the use of funds is for the working capital of new toll road development of Jasa Marga.
BSM's Wholesale Banking Director Kusman Yandi said that this is in line with BSM's strategy of making infrastructure sector one of the focuses of future business development, given the enormous growth potential of the sector. It is also a form of BSM participation as part of the Bank Mandiri Group to support the acceleration of infrastructure development which is one of the Indonesian government priority programs.
As the business grows, BSM is determined to continue to increase its contribution to the country in the field of infrastructure development. BSM is now funding the development of highways and tolls, ports, railways industries and power plants that can be used for the public.
Kusman Yandi revealed that during 2017, total financing approval to infrastructure sector reached Rp3.70 trillion, which will be gradual disbursement in accordance with project progress. Outstanding financing to the sector as of April 2017 stands at Rp 3,25 trillion or 6% of total financing per April 2017 BSM of Rp54,69 trillion.
"We hope the opportunity to work together does not stop here and can be continued with the cooperation of other banking products and services including consumer financing to employees of PT Jasa Marga, and hopefully this cooperation brings goodness and blessing to both parties as well as the country," said Kusman Yandi as reported from wartaekonomi.co.id (12/6/2017).
