Energy Forum Indonesia 2017 Emphasise in Infrastructure Energy

JAKARTA - The first Energy Forum Indonesia 2017 has been officially held at Shangri-La Hotel (3/5), the opening and inauguration are marked by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Ministry of Industry and PT PLN (Persero). This event was held by PT Siemens Indonesia in cooperation with Indonesia Electric Magazine.

The theme of this energy forum is “Supporting Indonesia energy infrastructure through increased local content, national capacity building, and digitalization.” The event was attended by more than 300 players from EPC, power plants, associations, media, and industry.

"Indonesia is a market with a very good business perspective, especially for energy, oil and gas, as well as for industry and infrastructure. We recognise that a sufficient and quality supply of energy is the foundation for economic growth and people's welfare," said Josef Winter, CEO of PT Siemens Indonesia in his opening speech.

He also explained that Siemens is an ideal partner in realising Indonesia's goal of enhancing national capability combined with further training and localise the production.

The first discussion sessions in this forum focus on future issues of the power generation sector in the face of various challenges such as emissions, capacity building, cost and TKDN. While the second forum redefined the role of the industrial sector in meeting the changing needs of electricity and productivity.

Around of 150 forum participants has a chance to visit the Siemens manufacturing and service facilities in Jakarta and Cilegon today (4/5).
