BSSN Assures a Strong Cyber Security for the Upcoming 2019 Presidential Election

Jakarta – Cybersecurity for the upcoming presidential election became one of the topics discussed by National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) and DPR RI Commission 1 in Senayan, Central Jakarta.

Head of BSSN Djoko Setiadi assured that there will be an improvement in cybersecurity for the upcoming presidential election 2019, including anticipations to fight possible cyber attacks.

“Yes, of course (improving the security), we know that technology keeps advancing. We are also thinking about several things to anticipate and prevent cyber attacks,” Djoko said.

Besides that, relating to the election security, BSSN is also working together with General Election Commissions (KPU)

Not only with KPU, but Djoko also asked every party to participate in creating a secure election, especially in the cyber world.

He did not want the election to be obstructed with disturbances in the cyber world.

“For me, just maintain the security so that we could prevent all the obstructions that could disturb our democracy,” he said.
