Jokowi: Supporting Infrastructure Could Impact SMEs

JAKARTA - President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) assess the development of supporting infrastructure can improve Indonesia's investment climate to be better in 2017. 

Therefore, he urged all concerned parties to help support the development of supporting infrastructure, not just only focus on major infrastructure development.

"Now we have more talk of supporting infrastructure. The highway must have rest area, it should be well designed and lead to economic effects up and down," said Jokowi at the "Kompass 100 CEO Forum" in Jakarta Convention Center, as reported by Kompas.com (24/11/2016).

Furthermore, Jokowi also gives special attention to SMEs. The value of investments to build supporting infrastructure, smaller but can impact economically for SMEs.

"With the investment, the value is much smaller and is designed to benefit economically, the SMEs will be encouraged to enter into this supporting infrastructure," said Jokowi.
