The Needs of Material Resources & Fund for Infrastructure Development

JAKARTA - The development of infrastructure projects that are the main focus of the Indonesian government requires cement and concrete material resources of 21.53 million tons. Not only that, infrastructure development also requires large financing funds.

This is explained by Head of Sub Directorate of Construction Technology and Domestic Production of Institutional Development and Construction Resources, Directorate General of Construction of PUPR Ministry Ati Nurzamiati.

"Therefore, it is now being developed also precast concrete for various development, especially roads, housing construction, water resources (SDA), as well as copyrighted works," said Ati Nurzamiati, as reported from Kompas.com (19/05/2017).

For the needs of funds, in 2016 based on the State Budget (APBN) for infrastructure reached Rp 291.72 trillion. However, the ability of APBN based on indicative PAGU is only Rp 170,3 trillion.

"So there is a gap of about Rp 121,4 trillion. Infrastructure development really needs cooperation with the private sector," said Ati.

In total, the DIPA budget of PUPR Ministry in the amount of Rp 204,099 trillion. The details are for asphalt 996,396 thousand tons, cement 9,6 million tons, steel 3,2 million tons, precast concrete 11,93 million tons, and heavy equipment 15.254 units.
