Sri Mulyani Expectation for PT SMI Related to Infrastructure Development
JAKARTA - Finance Minister of the Republic Indonesia Sri Mulyani Indrawati said that the PT Sarana Multi Infrastructure (SMI) (Persero), as state-owned enterprises under the Ministry of Finance, was born with the hope to financing the state infrastructure development widely without constrained with the budget.
This was disclosed by Sri Mulyani while attending inauguration PT SMI office today (18/01) in Serbaguna Room, Sahid Sudirman Centre Building Floor 48, Jakarta. She explained when state financial crisis happened, there are many infrastructure projects affected by the cancellation though Indonesia really needs infrastructure at this time.
"PT SMI can be a gift of the republic. When it was created and perform the function, remember the good corporate governance for the betterment of the country's infrastructure, "said Sri Mulyani as reported from kemenku.go.id (01/18/2017).
According to Sri Mulyani, PT SMI is expected to build the good quality infrastructure but with the support of governance, planning and good corporate governance. Minister also wishes to all ranks of the PT SMI to be able to create a company culture of integrity and transparency.
"It is also expected PT SMI can look for creative sources of infrastructure financing without compromising integrity. Creating a culture of work and looking for a solution to the infrastructure financing. Be transparent, be accountable, be professional, "he said.
