JAKARTA – The President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo will issue Presidential Decree (Keppres) to accelerate the development of infrastructure in Bali. The development is intended to support the 2018 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and The World Bank Group from 12-14 October in Nusa Dua Bali.

I Ketut Sudikerta as Vice Governor of Bali said there are six major projects that will be accelerated in Bali. Among of these projects are airport in Northern Bali, toll roads, railways, international stadium in Southern Bali, development of tourism industry in Western Buleleng and enhancement of Pura Besakih.

“Currently, a big scale of infrastructure is XXXX in Bali,” said Sudikerta. “The Presidential Decree will be issued within one or two weeks,” he added as reported from liputan6.com (3/8/2017).

The budget needed to construct the projects is already funded by central government, so the provincial government of Bali doesn’t need to find any additional funding sources.

“All of the budget comes from central government. Currently, there are a blockgrant from China amounting 100 Billion RMB. We only need to make the regulations to speed up the projects,” Sudikerta added.
