Pertamina Focus Developing Gas Infrastructure in 2017

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (persero) in this year will focus on finishing open access gas transmission pipeline Gresik-Semarang (271 KM) to support the existence of Gas Infrastructure. Previously Pertamina has finished various gas infrastructure projects such as Arun-Belawan-KIM-KEK pipe (482 KM), Muara Karang-Muara Tawar (30 KM), Porong-Grati Pipe (56 KM).

Pertamina targeting total company gas sales is 1.179 BBTU in a year. To realize various projects and efforts to achieve the company's target operations, Pertamina plans the capital expenditure is up to US$ 6.67 billion.

With the improvement of operational performance, efficiency in all lines and concern to the world oil prices development trend, Pertamina is targeting the company's net profit in 2017 of about US$ 3 billion. "Definitely, all management Pertamina will remain focused on efforts to achieve the targets that have been mandated by our shareholders," said Wianda Pusponegoro, as informed in the press release (31/01/2017).

Pertamina also determined to maintain the volume of non-subsidized retail fuel sales above 45 million kiloliters a year by increasing the quality of services. This year also will be a test for Pertamina to support government programs such as Fuel One Price and 3kg LPG distribution on target, including the preparation of the required infrastructure.

Pertamina Megaproject of Processing and petrochemical will also initiate significant steps this year by finished the groundbreaking of several refinery projects, namely RDMP RU V Balikpapan, RDMP RU IV Cilacap, and NGRR Tuban in this year. All of that is targeted to be completed within the time span in 2019, 2021, and 2022 with output that meets Euro 5 specification. Meanwhile, RU RDMP VI Balongan will be carried out independently by Pertamina is scheduled for completion in 2020 and will start the basic engineering design (BED) in mid-2017.
