Pertamina will Provide Gas Infrastructure in Banten

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) will provide Land Based Acceptance and Regasification LNG Terminal in Banten. It is intended that this state-owned company may expand the availability of gas infrastructure in the hands of the water, both the receiving facility, transmission pipeline, to the distribution pipeline that will deliver gas to the end consumers.

This plan was presented by Vice President Corporate Communications of Pertamina, Wianda Pusponegoro. He insists it is important to be realized with the assurance that economical and efficient operation.

"The key word is how the infrastructure is economically feasible, and on the other hand can create efficiencies for customers through the cost of regasification and competitive tolling tariffs compared to existing infrastructure," said Wianda, as reported from tribunnews.com (17/1/2017).

Pertamina ability in procuring gas from various sources, both LNG and pipeline gas from various fields of upstream oil and gas, making the price of gas on the final consumer to be more competitive. Pertamina currently has gas supply commitments in the form of about 7.5 MTPA of LNG, equivalent to 1000 MMSCFD.

The gas is highly flexible to be supplied through the LNG receiver facilities anywhere affiliated with Pertamina, including procedures for Land Based Acceptance and Regasification LNG Terminal in Banten. "So, Land Based Acceptance and Regasification LNG  Terminal in Banten can be one option solution acceleration gas infrastructure needed at competitive prices, "said Wianda.
