PGN Gas Infrastructure Network Expands to Bekasi & Subang

BEKASI - PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (National Gas Company,-ed/PGN) (Persero) now extend infrastructure utilisation of natural gas to the industrial area in Bekasi and Subang. These efforts are made to encourage more people to enjoy the environmentally friendly gas.

Bekasi as one of the industrial town on the fringe of Jakarta has more than 205 industrial, commercial service like Mall, Hotel and Restaurant which enjoys gas supply from PGN. The state-owned company also supplies natural gas to 38 customers Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and 5,931 households.

"We have just supply natural gas to PT Toyoseal Indonesia which located in MM2100 industrial estate, Bekasi," said Area Sales Head PGN Bekasi Bambang Purwanto, as reported from indopos.co.id (02/14/2017).

General Manager Toyoseal Indonesia Ary Widyastuti explains before turning to PGN natural gas, they use diesel with an average of 40 thousand litres per month for the manufacture of the rubber seal.

"This time we chose to switch to more energy-efficient and clean as well as the environmentally friendly natural gas. Our target with the use of natural gas could be up to 30 percent efficiency so that it can expand our business," said Ary.

PGN recently has been supplying gas to the base metals industry, namely PT Mohgatech Indonesia in Subang, West Java. "From February 1, 2017, Mohgatech enjoy natural gas plant of the State Gas Company," said Vice President Corporate Communications PGN, Andri Irwan Atmanto.
