PLN Receive Rp 12 Trillion to Develop Electricity Infrastructure

JAKARTA - PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) / PLN formally signed an investment credit worth Rp 12 trillion to six creditors consisting of Mandiri Bank, BRI, BCA, Maybank, Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (SMI) and the Indonesia Eximbank.

The syndicated loan which tenor up to 10 years will be used to accelerate the completion of the mega project of 35,000 MW, where the Mandiri Bank acted as lead arranger.

"The signing of the investment loan of Rp 12 trillion, it shows that we continue to work hard to provide electricity to encourage regional economic growth and national economic growth, '' said PLN's President Director Sofyan Basir, as reported from JPNN.com (12/20/2016).

Sofyan Basir explained that PLN attempts to accelerate the completion of the 35,000 MW project to the accelerate of the completion of the construction of generation, transmission, and distribution. He insists, PLN seeks to complete the development task of electricity infrastructure and funding strategies and it should be coupled with prudent and conservative funding.

Sofyan signed credit agreements with six directors from each creditor syndicate of banks and the financial institutions.
