Soekarno Hatta Airport will be developed as Hub Flights

JAKARTA - Transportation Minister (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi will develop Soekarno Hatta Airport as a hub for flights (airports gatherers) which means seize Singapore position which has become a hub airport.

“We want Soekarno Hatta to become a real hub, not just spoke,” said Budi in Ministry of Transportation, Wednesday (16/11/2016), as reported from Okezone.com.

Budi explained that government is now seeking to catch up with a way to build the transport infrastructure. So far, a number of infrastructure transport have been built by the government, such as 19 bus terminal location, 22 railway stations, 54 ferry ports location, 691.63 km of railway lines, 150 seaports and 149 airports.

For transportation, the government should build 100 sea pioneer ships, 13 crossing ships, 49 patrol ships, 20 navigating ships, 1841 bus rapid transit. Its total investment reaches approximately Rp 1.283 trillion. "We must support Bali to be the real destination, and AirNav reclaim the lost," said Budi.
