SML, Univ. Paramadina & Government in Collaboration to Develop GIPTI
JAKARTA - Representative of Research Center for Science and Technology (PUSPIPTEK) -The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Tangerang Regency Government, Paramadina University and Sinar Mas Land (SML) signed a joint agreement for the development of IPTEK and Innovation Gallery (GIPTI).
The signing of the joint agreement was also witnessed by Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla and Minister of Research and Technology at the Vice Presidential Palace of the Republic of Indonesia (15/01). IPTEK and Innovation Gallery will be located in Tangerang Regency precisely in BSD City area.
A portion of the GIPTI area will occupy the land of PUSPIPTEK-Kemenristekdikti, covering an area of ± 15 Ha. GIPTI will showcase of innovation progress as well as latest applied technology, a place for empowerment and community education in science and technology.
This area will also serve as a marketing place for IKM products and technology based-startup which nurtured by technology business incubator development in PUSPIPTEK-Kemenristekdikti, Tangerang Regency Government, Paramadina University and SML
Dhony Rahajoe, Managing Director of Sinar Mas Land President Office explained in a press release (24/1), "We strongly support and appreciate the development of IPTEK and Innovation Gallery (GIPTI) in BSD City, we hope this collaboration can enrich the BSD City area that is currently being transformed into smart integrated digital city."
More details Dhony Rahajoe also explained, "We are also very enthusiastic about the presence of Paramadina University in BSD City which is integrated with GIPTI, and the presence of Paramadina University also enriches the BSD City ecosystem especially in the education sector and as a talent pool for a number of companies located in Digital Region Hub."
The development of GIPTI is in line with the National Science & Technology Park (N-STP) PUSPIPTEK development program as one of the implementations of Nawa Cita Program of President Joko Widodo's government in developing STP in Indonesia.
Each institution namely PUSPIPTEK Kemenristekdikti, Tangerang Regency Government, Paramadina University, and Sinar Mas Land have a role that is synergized and collaborate with each other in the development of GIPTI.
