France Investor Cooperate with WIKA to Build Road Infrastructure Projects

JAKARTA - The Indonesian government's focus on developing a variety of infrastructure projects was welcomed by investors from France, namely PT Matiere Bridge Building Indonesia. The company has officially co-operated with PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk., to develop cooperation in building road project and steel frame bridge.

The three main agenda includes works on steel frame for bridges and toll roads with high technology, plant construction and production facilities of steel frame bridges and toll road in Indonesia as a form of cooperation between the WIKA group Matiere.

The memorandum of understanding of the cooperation was signed by the Finance Director WIKA A.N.S.Kosasih and Chairman  Matiere, Philippe Matiere and witnessed by the President of France, Francois Hollande on 29 March.

"What make us interest is the commitment of Matiére which stating that fabricated products which will be produced will contain 91% local content, this means that we as a state-owned enterprises is not only become the craftsman but also plays a major role in the production process." said Financial Director of WIKA A.N.S Kosasih in the press release on wika.co.id.

A.N.S Kosasih also explained, "For our steel production, we and Matieré will be entered into a collaboration with Krakatau Steel. It would also boost the State-owned enterprise's synergy." Kosasih added.

This partnership enables the transfer of technology that would be obtained by WIKA as a Matiére strategic partner because later we will build plant together for producing steel frames products and high-tech concrete. BesideS, this agreement will also provide opportunities for WIKA to develop business abroad, especially in countries where Matiére has become the market leader.
