PLN Signs Gas Purchase  Agreement With Medco E&P

DENPASAR - Indonesia State Electricity Company (PLN) has signed a gas purchase agreement with Joint Operating Body (JOB) Pertamina - Medco E&P Tomori Sulawesi and JOB Pertamina - Medco E&P Simenggaris in Bali, Tuesday (6/2/2018).

The gas purchase agreement is intended to meet primary energy needs for PLN power plants.

As reported from pln.co.id (7/2/2018), this Agreement states Simenggaris Block in North Kalimantan will supply gas with a total contract amount of 21,6 TBTU with the daily delivery amount to PLN equal to 8 BBTUD.

PLN will utilize the gas supply during the contract period since the contract is signed until the total number of contracts or until the Simenggaris Block contract expires in 2028.

Meanwhile, Senoro Toili Block in Central Sulawesi will supply gas with a total contract amount of 15,63 TBTU with the daily delivery amount to PLN of 5 BBTUD. From this block, PLN will utilize the gas supply for nine years.

The period commencing from the date of signing of PJBG until December 4, 2027, or until the total contract amount is fulfilled.
