Tourism Infrastructure in East Lombok will be Developed
JAKARTA - Bali is the most famous island in Indonesia because it has become an icon of tourism in the international world. In fact, there are still many attractive tourist areas, one of which is the East Lombok in West Nusa Tenggara province which is now prioritising the development of tourism infrastructure.
Lombok Timur which located in West Nusa Tenggara province is lagging behind the Bali Tourism related in tourism infrastructure. Therefore, East Lombok which has an area of 1.605,55 square kilometres with a population of 1,153,773 million people attempt to catch up.
East Lombok has Pink Beach or beach with pink sand but is less well known as a tourist attraction because of the limitations of tourism infrastructure.
To overcome this, the district government has built infrastructure support to reach the locations. East Lombok Regent Ali Bin Dachlan said access road has always been a priority in the development of tourism here. "Already 420 kilometres which have been built during the last three years and this year added 150 kilometres," he said, as reported from Tempo.co (15/3/2017)
Ali also added that there already are other tourism supporting infrastructure, such as homestays and hotels. In addition, East Lombok district has prepared 20 hectares of land to be used as a tourist destination other options in East Lombok. "The access road was made last year, it will be paved this year," he said.
