Tourism Infrastructure Improvement Gives Multiplier Effect

JAKARTA - Regional Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia requested to improved the tourism infrastructure to increase the progress in the region in various sectors.

As reported rmol.co (16/12/2016), in a working meeting with the regency of Riau and the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), and the Ministry of Tourism, the Chairman of DPD RI M. Saleh said, "tourism infrastructure needs to be improved to make it easier reach, build tourism will bring multi-great effect on the progress of the region in various sectors."

Saleh hopes that this meeting produces a profitable decision for regions and bring accelerated development in the area. With a continuation of the Asean Economic Community (AEC), Indonesia is the target market so it should be able to compete.

He also added that the tourism development is inseparable with infrastructure development so its very right to invite the relevant stakeholders. Hence, a meeting between the three parties is very important and is intended primarily to build the image of Indonesian tourism.
