Jakarta – PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk targeted for about 250 kilometers of new toll roads to be operated in 2019. That includes the 9 new toll road sections which is now still being constructed by the company, as reported by kompas.com.

Those 9 are Jakarta-Cikampek II Elevated Toll Road (36,4 km), Pandaan-Malang Toll Road (37,6 km), Medan-KualanamuTebing Tinggi Seksi Sei Rampah-Tebing Tinggi (9,2 km), Balikpapan-Samarinda Toll Road (99,3 km), and Manado-Bitung Toll Road (39 km).

Then, Kunciran-Cengkareng Toll Road (14,1 km), Kunciran-Serpong Toll Road (11,2 km), Cinere-Serpong Toll Road (10,1 km), and Gempol-Pandaan Toll Road (1,6 km).

“The operation is to achieve the target of 1.260 km toll roads which are going to operate at the end of this year,” said AVP Corporate Communications Jasa Marga Dwimawan Heru.

For the first semester, he added that Jasa Marga will focus in finishing the Jakarta-Cikampek Elevated Toll Road project.

Because that project, which later is going to be managed by PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) will be functionally open for this year’s Eid.

President Director PT JCC Djoko Dwijono expressed, right now the construction progress of Jakarta-Cikampek Elevated Toll Road has only reach 62,5 percent. Those number is still far less than the specified target which is 90 percent.

He said that the number of vehicles crossing over the existing Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road has been a challenge.

“This toll road is very special. We are in the “sea of vehicles” so we need to be extremely careful,” he said. Furthermore, there are another construction projects avaliable at the same time, requiring to divide the working hours to ensure that all the projects could run as targeted.

As known, besides Jakarta-Cikampek II Elevated Toll Road project, there are also Jakarta-Bogor-Depok-Bekasi Light Rail Transit (LRT) project and Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway project which are still being worked at the same time along the corridor.

“We targeted this project to be completed in 2 years, which is quite fast. On the process, we need to brace ourself with every obstacles and challenges. But, we are still optimistic and in high spirit to meet the target,” he said.

To catch up with that, JJC is planning to add more work hours and human resource for the next 2 months.
