Jokowi: Human Resources Development is More Important than Infrastructure

KUBU RAYA - The Government of the Republic of Indonesia is now focused on developing the infrastructure development across the country. Even so, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) confirms that the development of human resources is the most important for the nation development in the future.

This was disclosed by President Jokowi while attending Supplementary Feeding Program (PMT) in Kubu Raya, West Kalimantan, on Wednesday (12/21/2016). As reported by the State Secretary Ministry in today (12/22/2016), he said as a parent, no doubt that we want our children to grow into healthy and smart children. Likewise with the Indonesian state also wants its human resources to grow healthy and smart.

"The state was also the same, we want human resources to forward the healthy and smart because it must compete, to compete with other countries. Therefore, I came alone to this supplementary feeding programs," explained President Jokowi.

In the competition era like this, the resources are formidable indeed very necessary. In fact, the president dared to mention that construction in these areas is much more important than infrastructure development.

"This (human resource development,-ed) is important and even more important than the development of infrastructure. Because 20 to 40 years from now our children are all competing with other countries and they must win the competition," he said.
