KEMENPUPR Repair Aceh Infrastructure, Provide 30 Units of Hydrant

PIDIE JAYA - Focus to repair critical infrastructure to meet the needs of earthquake victims in Aceh has realized by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (KEMENPUPR) by adding 30 units of Public hydrants. It aims to meet the needs of clean water services in the locations of victims of the earthquake in the districts of Pidie, Bireuen and Pidie Jaya, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam.
30 Units of Public Hydrants arrived from Medan and Jakarta on Saturday (10/12) night. Previously to meet the new clean water services as many as 11 water tankers (MTA) and 20 units of public hydrants has been mobilized.
"We are very concerned about clean water, especially in the refugee camps," said PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono while reviewing the conditions after the earthquake in Aceh, as reported from pu.go.id (13/12/2016).
"An increasing number of refugee points which originally 9 points (10.029 people) to 63 points (42.529 people).
Head of Emergency Response Work Unit of the Directorate General of Human Settlements of PUPR Ministry, Abdul Hakam said that the entire fleet of equipment which has been functioning today has supplied 12 refugee points of 13.290 refugees. He explained that all 30 public hydrants will be distributed to the newly identified refugee points.
"From the latest data point of refugees and do crosscheck who have served, we have done a rough assessment through field visits to ensure the existence of refugees in each new refugee points until we get an 18 refugee points of 25.141 people for the needs of 22 units of a public hydrant that has not been fulfilled.
Hakam said the additional point is concentrated in the districts of Pidie Jaya. The evacuation points are potential points where the refugees have always concentrated which totalling 300 to 1000 people.
