KEMENPUPR Sign Infrastructure Contracts Up to Rp 6,42 Trillion

JAKARTA - The Government through the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (KEMENPUPR) has signed a contract of 952 infrastructure work package in Indonesia with a value of Rp 6,43 trillion. The employment contract is derived from all organizational units under the Ministry PUPR, located in 34 provinces in Indonesia, following an early tender process since October 2016.
This is explained by the PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono where 952 work packages, as many as 68 contracts valued at Rp 1,58 trillion was signed simultaneously by Committing Officer (PPK) and service providers, in a working meeting at PUPR Ministry, on Tuesday (17/1).
"The work package includes the preservation of road, bridge construction projects, road border, construction of flats, a particular house, the development of drinking water pipeline network, as well as the rehabilitation of irrigation networks," said Basuki Hadimuljono as reported from infonawacita.com (20/01/2017).
Basuki gave a target to the first echelon officials in his environment to finish the entire 10 403 auction package worth Rp 69,61 trillion no later than the end of March 2017. "This year I predict the progress of the auction early is better than last year," he added.
Basuki Hadimuljono as PUPR Minister happy to see many local contractors are able to compete and win the tender for the handling of a number of infrastructure projects in the PUPR Ministry. Basuki wants to improve the capacity of local contractor making it more competitive.
