National Forum to Boost Infrastructure Development

JAKARTA – Ministry of Public Works and People’s Housing (PUPR) will conduct a national forum to boost national infrastructure development on 22nd August 2017.

General Director of Ministry of (PUPR), Yusid Toyib said that the purpose of this forum is to improve the competitiveness of infrastructure in Indonesia.

“Hopefully this forum will produce a breakthrough to improve the competitiveness of infrastructure in Indonesia. As stated by President Jokowi, the ranking of infrastructure competitiveness must increase from 60th to 40th,” said Yusid as quoted from beritasatu.com (15/08/2017).

Yusid added that the national forum involves a number of ministries or agencies such as Coordinating Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Energy Resources and Minerals and The Secretariat of State.

The effort to improve the competitiveness of infrastructure in Indonesia from 60th rank to 40th rank will be easier if those ministries and agencies can work together.
