PALYJA Held Health Education Event for Elementary School Students

JAKARTA - As a form of PALYJA's concern and social responsibility in the field of education and health, PT PAM Lyonnaise Jaya (PALYJA) held an event with elementary school students to learn the importance of washing hands and having a clean and healthy lifestyle since early stage.

Based on information from the PALYJA press release on (31/10), the event was held on October 15 to commemorate the World Handwashing with Soap Day on that date. The event is filled with a variety of exciting activities such as colouring competitions, education of correct hand washing, waste segregation education and discussion about health and storytelling.

The event is in collaboration with SD Negeri 15 Karet Tengsin Central Jakarta, Puri Cinere Hospital, Ciliwung Care Community and Children's Storytelling. The purpose of this activity is to raise awareness of the importance of making simple behavioural changes such as washing hands with soap and the importance of education about waste segregation (organic/inorganic) for environmental sustainability.

This is in line with the four focuses of Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) of PALYJA, namely: Health & Education, Humanitarian Aid, Environmental Conservation and Water For All.

The contribution of PALYJA is expected to bring benefits for students and school teachers in Karet Tengsin neighbourhood, Central Jakarta, and can help improve the health of children and communities around the PALYJA service area.
